Kay Lodahl Glass Art and Watercolor Painting

Got some torching time in last night. Made a trip over to the West Side and paid a visit to Momka's Glass. So what do you think of this color? I love it... Am thinking a good name for it might be Raspberry... The blues you see come naturally when clear is added to the mix and then it is struck in the flame. Oh my. And I love raspberries!!! This tube has a frit mix on the surface of the raspberry and under the clear.

These seem to be selling quite well on my Etsy site. So just had to make some more. Besides that, they are just plain fun to make. Lots of colors and depth. The organic texture seems to be a big hit also.

The warmth of the flame in my shop, surrounded outside with snow, must all be an inspiration. Either that, or lampworking is just my passion.. This pendant is of borosilicate glass. Great spring colors. The blue down the middle has a reflective quality provided by the silver in that color... I was real please how this turned out. It is a lot brighter in person. This picture doesn't do it justice.. These have lots of variety of color about them.. Fun to make.
